My Motivational Bloggers

I thought I would give a shout out to the newest member of the blogging community. Welcome Tiara! She just started a fitness blog sharing her NTC and fitness journey. Check out her blog NTC Journey and follow her fitness goals and join her #ntcJuneabs challenge! This challenge is a commitment to doing 15 minutes of abs every day with the Nike Training Club app for iphone and ipad. It's a great way to stay motivated to work out those abs. She motivates me to train harder every day and I know you will find her inspirational as well!

Also, don't forget about my other favorite bloggers: Marie Purvis (@NikeGetFit) at All Things Fitness, a Nike Master trainer, developer of the NTC app, and soon to be xbox Kinect star this coming holiday season, she gives great fitness advice and is going to train me for the Nike Women's Marathon in October. A great blogger to follow, you won't regret reading her blog!

Yoga Eat Run is another excellent blogger who shares her fitness goals, advice and life with women everywhere. She is an inspiration and a class act who will get you motivated to get your foot out the door and onto some HIIT Training. A soon to be NASM certified trainer, you won't want to miss a word of this fitness superstar's advice.

And finally, one of my earliest fitness blog finds, be sure to check out iheartspandex, an inspirational fitness and fashion blogger. She was the inspiration behind me starting my own fitness blog. You're sure to find great fitness fashion advice here!

Know of any other inspirational fitness bloggers? Let me know in the comments below!

Australia, Travel and NikeGetFit

Marie Purvis of @nikegetfit has a blog! You can check it out at All Things Fitness. Currently she is down in Australia representing and prepping for the She Runs AU race in Australia. It's pretty exciting to see Nike spread their races all over the world and empower women wherever they are. They also chose a great representative and ambassador in Marie Purvis!

I am excited to start following this new blog. For one thing, I love all the advise that Marie Purvis gives via her Twitter handle @nikegetfit. And second, Australia has always been at the top of my list of places to travel and it is exciting to see it through the eyes of another fitness lover. Running through Australia looks like it would be an amazing experience and I can't wait until I get to visit! Perhaps I can plan my visit around a race such as the She Runs AU.

Fitness and travel are two great things to combine. You can see things in a city through running that you would miss if you spent all your time in a car. Running can slow down the speed of travel and keep you relaxed and less stressed in your new environment. Also, keeping up with your fitness goals is important even when on vacation or a business trip. Getting out and doing exercises outside and enjoying the views and architecture of a new place is a great way to enjoy your trip and stay fit. How do you stay fit while on vacation? Where do you do your workouts?

New Year, New Goals!

Happy 2012 everyone! I know it's going to be a great year. This last year was amazing for me. I got married, ran my first marathon, rocked the Nike Training Club app, made some great new friends and motivators via blogging (yogaeatrun) and learned to push my body to the limit. So what will my new year be holding?

Relaxing after my first Nike Women's Marathon 2011!

I want 2012 to top this last year, so we will see how far I can take myself and how strong I can make myself. With my ambition and all my motivating family, friends, and social media guru's (@nikegetfit and @nikewomen) I know I can achieve great things. My goals for this year are as follows:
  • Run a second marathon and beat my previous time
  • Become NASM personal trainer certified
  • Become Nike Training Club certified
  • Get my Blackbelt in Taekwondo

Half way to my blackbelt!

Let me know how you plan to up your training and goals in 2012! Goals always push me to work harder and telling people about my goals keeps me accountable, so let me hear yours! Good luck and I wish you all the best in 2012!
